MORE THAN BUILDING BIKES

For a bike builder , especially working in titanium, there is a lot more to build than just the bike. This is the gas lens that I use to cover the welds with argon, the inert gas that protects the weld from any other gases that are present in our atmosphere. I dropped my torch the other day and broke my lens, ( I make them myself out of available parts) , and found myself making a few more today in the case of some future clumbsyness on my part. Shown in the photo is the finished one on the torch body, and a new one with a precision alignment tool to hold the machined parts I make inside the new body while the bonding material dries. OK, back to welding!
